Luxograph
exierō (mini)
Created as a giveaway for the 2009 Line of Sight show, exierō mini is a smaller version of the exierō luxograph. The composition is modified slightly to accommodate the smaller area the image takes up, but it is constructed from the same spiral and radial lines as the larger piece. These are signed, numbered, and limited to 100 prints. If you missed the Line of Sight show, this is your chance! These are prints on glossy Fujicolor Crystal Archive paper.
CMY #1
C, M and Y stand for the three colors that mix to make this abstract colorfield image constructed of radial and spiral lines printed on archival metallic photo paper. CMY #1 is limited to three prints: the first is 36" x 54" in a custom frame behind plexiglass; the second and third 24" x 32".
Tomorrow's Exile
Tomorrow's Exile is a multi-layered piece of artwork. The bottom layer in cyan and black is printed on archival metallic paper, and a half-inch above is a layer of duraclear with the magenta and yellow lines. The result is a set of patterns that shifts subtly as you move in relation to the piece. This is a one-of-a-kind piece and is integrated with the frame and matting. The frame contains no glass or plexi so that the only reflections are those from the photoprinted surfaces.
Last Night #2
Second in the Last Night series, this piece incorporates short, hatched lines to produce a grainy, dated look. Printed on archival metallic paper. Limited to three prints, one 27" x 36" with a custom frame and UV-sheilding glare-free museum glass, #2 and #3 18" x 24", frame available on request.
exierō
This image of a butterfly in flight is made from a series of interwoven spiral and radial lines in three colors, making wave-like patterns throughout the print.
The title, exierō, is the first-person singular future perfect active indicative of the latin verb exeō, from which we get the word exit (and exeunt for theatre lovers.) Literally, it means «I will have left.»
This print is available in a signed, numbered edition, limited to five 12" x 18" prints on archival metallic paper. Custom frame with glare-free UV-protecting museum glass available.
Thorns
Epiphany, Thorns, and Peregrination expand on the Peregrination series of photographs from Spring of 2007, and are the first luxographs not to rely on lines of primary colors. Limited to seven prints, #1 30" by 30" #2–#7 18" by 18".
Thorns was first exhibited at the 2008 ArtSpan SF Open Studios Exhibition. Prints are on metallic paper and are available with the custom frame used for all the Peregrination series luxographs behind glare-free UV-protecting museum glass.
Epiphany
Will You Never Know How I Loved You?
The title speaks of the uncertainty of any communication, but particularly of declared intentions and changing relations. This knot of “is” and “should,” of plans and consequences, of affection and indifference, of past and future, is what and who we are in this very moment. Limited to five prints. #1 is 42½"×70", the second through fifth at sizes up to 32"×52½".
Red Dot! Print #1 has been sold. 32"×52½" prints are still available.
